PASLM 23

.Psalm 23 is one of the most beautiful passages in the Holy Scriptures. Take a closer look at what this passage really means:
Psalm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The Lord is your one and only Shepherd. Your heart needs and desires nothing but Him. With Him, you are complete and happy. You do not crave for silver or gold because He is always more than enough. A good sheep desires nothing but to obey the will of his Master. You already have God, what else can you ask for?
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
When you abide in God, your life is full of joy. This does not mean that you will be materially rich, but this happiness goes beyond the mere fun of material glory. In fact, money is not the important element; rather, it is about being spiritually rich. No matter how good or bad your life becomes, you are convinced that you journey each step with the Divine. Not only do you take each step with faith, but God Himself leads you; and as a good sheep, you faithfully follow the guide of your Master. God’s will be done, only then can you find true happiness in your life.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
This passage shows man’s acceptance and honest display of humility. You should know that you have sinned; but no matter how harsh you have become, God lovingly restores your soul. Not only that, He also leads you “in the paths of righteousness”. However, being led is not enough; you must obey His holy commands. Hence, you should read and study the Bible because it contains the will of your divine Shepherd. Learn and live the teachings through your actions. Remember, “Faith without works is dead.”
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Though you are guided by God, it does not mean that you will not face any temptation or suffering. God loves you so much that He will not allow you to tread the path of death but only the “shadow of death”. With your living faith in Him, there is no evil that you should fear. He protects you and you shall forever be grateful, as long as you remain in His refuge. Worry not; God will never leave you. Remember, He loves you too much.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
God does not deny you before anyone. In fact, he is proud of you and is willing to serve you. He is the Master who serves and deeply loves his disciples. Remember, you are God’s own child and He desires to love you and be the best divine Father for you (just let Him). Abide in God, and happiness shall forever be yours.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
God is love. If you do the will of God, you shall forever remain in His holy and joyful care. God knows that man is prone to commit sin, but His mercy is overflowing for you. Remain in God, abide in His holy words and you shall live the best life.
God loves you. Blessed be.
